Chair Vacancy


The role of Chair is diverse and fulfilling. Some of the key responsibilities are as follows:


  • To advance the vision of Birmingham Cruse as a flagship Area of Cruse Bereavement Care

  • To be an Ambassador for Cruse Birmingham at designated events, including ABM, Footprints Walk, Staff and Volunteer days, Cruse Conference and quarterly Regional Meetings

  • Chair quarterly Area Management meetings and our Annual Business Meeting

  • Meet with Coordinators regularly to support staff team and provide line management (ideally monthly)

  • Oversee the minutes and agenda of the Area Management meetings

  • Support staff team with Annual appraisal schedule

  • Oversee and support staff team with the management of complaints
