Services for Children and Young People

Our services for children and young people provides  1-2-1 bereavement support to children and young people over the age of 5, with their parents and guardians. These sessions are facilitated by experienced children’s workers with extensive experience in bereavement support.

Additionally, we advise and support agencies and workers directly involved in working for children, for example, social workers, teachers and family support workers.

We use a range of methods and theories to support our work and call upon a broad spectrum of resources, including play therapy, solution focused therapy, art and crafts to allow children and young people process their grief reactions in the right environment.

We also offer specialist support in schools in the event of a bereavement in the school community, initially offering an emergency response and any ongoing support as required.

Hope Again is the youth website of Cruse Bereavement Care. It is a safe place where you can learn from other young people, how to cope with grief, and feel less alone. We also provide a listening ear ,from other young people, and advice for any young person dealing with the loss of a loved one. Please feel free to contact Hope Again, to access support if you are a young person and someone you know has died.
