Support for Schools

We are still able to provide support for bereaved children, but we are not currently able to go into schools.

For primary schools

For primary school pupils we have been working together with schools and bereaved families to produce a new Bereavement Resource Pack. This includes essential information on dealing with bereavement in schools, as well as four different classroom activities which can be used to teach children about bereavement or address specific issues when a bereavement has occurred.

The pack costs £10, please contact for more details.

For older pupils

We provide adhoc advice and guidance on how best to support this age group during a bereavement.

We offer a range of leaflets and literature  into schools and can support in the event of a bereavement on site, as well as offer training on working with a child’s grief for pastoral and teaching staff.

A small charge is made for this service.

For staff

For teachers and school support staff we offer one day course in Working with Grief (Families, Children and Young People).

This is a popular training course which receives excellent feedback. One delegate said:

This was the best training I have ever received through work

For more information, or for dates of upcoming training days, do take a look at our training tab.
